Tongyan (TY) Arowanas are a popular hybrid crossbreed between a Malayan Golden (MG) and a Super Red (SR) Arowana, often aimed at producing high-quality red-gold coloration and a broad body. They are a specific type of Asian Arowana designed for a vibrant appearance, frequently displaying red highlights over a golden base, making them highly prized in the aquarium hobby.
Key Aspects of Tongyan Arowanas:
- Origin: Often a first-generation (F1) hybrid mix of Super Red and Malayan Golden, specifically developed for coloration and desirable crossbreed features.
